Funerals and Memorial Services
Compassionate guidance and a reassuring presence in times of loss.
In times of loss, finding the right words can be difficult. With more than twenty years of experience accompanying families through life's most tender moments, I offer compassionate guidance and a reassuring presence. Together, we will create a funeral or memorial service that honors your loved one's life, values, and memory with dignity, sensitivity, and care.
Every life has its own story, and every farewell deserves to reflect that individuality. Through prayer, music, personal memories, and Jewish tradition, we will celebrate not only the life that has ended, but also the love, joy, and enduring connections that remain. My hope is to create a meaningful opportunity for remembrance, gratitude, comfort, and healing.
Music can sometimes express what words alone cannot. As both a cantor and liturgical composer, I am able to offer sacred music, or personally composed selections that bring comfort and healing to a memorial service. For some families, these moments become among the most meaningful memories of the ceremony. One such musical reflection can be heard below.
When my wife, Phyllis, was facing the end of her life, Chazzan Abramson made himself available even before I had to ask. On his own, he traveled from Florida to New York to spend precious time with her while she was still alive, returned to Florida, and then flew back to New York to officiate a beautiful funeral service exactly as she had hoped. His compassion did not end with the funeral—he has remained a caring friend ever since. You could not find better clergy than Chazzan Cliff Abramson.
